Response to "Help" A couple of hints. Cut the strands only the length of the skein when it is all unwound. That is remove from label, let unwind and snit through entire skein at know. Pull apart into bundles. Grasp one bundle loosely in left hand between thumb and forefinger and isolate one strand from this bundle. Pull straight up until it is separated from the group. If the rest of the strand falls free below the fingers holding it you are in great shape. Do this again 3 more times and you have your 4-ply. Set aside rest of bundle to use later. If the bundle doesnt fall free after removing that first ply just turn the bundle so you are holding the other end and repeat the pulling out process. If you make sure that your bundle is hanging straight down after removing each ply you should be in fine shape. Enjoy, once you get over this little roadblock you will really like this fiber. Lenora: Help! I am just beginning to stitch a project and need to use 4 plies of the Waterlilies. Is there a simple way to separate the plies? Mine got all tangled up and I had to throw away part of the lenght I had cut.
